Sports Betting Arbitrage Calculator

By James On January 14, 2010 Under Poker Table Felt

Sports arbitrage betting (bet) bet is a species specific. Gives 100% chance of victory regardless the outcome of the event. Well, not the absolute truth – Is there any risk, even betting gambling safe.

Suppose there is a match tennis player between A and Player B. One of the bookmakers of 2.05 gives opportunities for Player A and Player B. 1.90 The odds are that another broker 1.80 and 2.05 on a player for player B. It is easy to calculate betting $ 100 on the first home player betting $ 100 and the second runner player in B will give you 205 USD no matter the outcome of the game will be. The benefit of this approach is $ 5 because I had to bet $ 200.

L 'sure bets to be found in real life in one aspect a little more complicated. Again we assume that there is overlap between Player A and B. The first home player betting odds are 1.72 and 2.20 on a player by player B. The second bookmaker odds in a player 1.55 and 2.50 for Player B.

Is there an easy way to check if the odds of a safe bet.

You should pick the best chance in each players. It has, therefore, 1.72 in the first house betting on a player and 2.50 in the second row on player B. If you win $ 100 that should do the math following:

100 / 1.72 + 100 / 2.50 = 98.1395

If the result is less than the number you would like to win ($ 100) the probability assigned to a sure bet. The benefit of this bet can be calculated by subtracting the result of the number chosen:

Benefit: 100 – 98.1395 / 100 = (almost) 2%

So you must decide:

* 100 / 1.72 = 58.14 USD in the first home player betting
* 100 / 2.50 = $ 40 on player B in the second bookmaker

Regardless of outcome of the event – was earning around $ 2.

Royal bet (a draw) is a case similar to the bet without a tie. The only difference is that you have to find three bookmaker – The first to give the best chance at a player, the second most likely in the draw and the third most likely player in B.

Imagine that a football match between Team A and B. The first home team gives betting odds 1.90 to 3.45 on a computer and 5.3 on a draw on the computer B. Bet the house second chances are the result of a team of 1,72-3,55 and a tie in team B. 5.0 The third row are equal probabilities of 1.65 on a 3.45 team and 5.6 in a draw on the computer B.

Checking the safe bet is as easy as in the previous case. Obviously, the more likely are: 1.90 on a computer (the first home gaming), 3.55 in a draw (in the second betting house), and 5.6 on computer B (the third betting house) . Then you have:

Results: 100 / 1.90 + 100 / 3.55 + 100 / 5.6 = 98.6577

Once again – the result is less than the number you would like to win (100 in our example) so the odds to make a safe bet.

Benefit: 100 – 98.6577 = (almost) 1.5%

To win you have to bet $ 100:

* 100 / 1.90 = 52.63 usd in the first home computer gaming
* 100 / 3.55 = 28.17 usd a tie in the second bookmaker
* 100 / 5.6 = 17.86 USD on computer B in the second bookmaker

Remember about the risks! Betting safe bets is not as easy and safe as it seems.
